This month’s quotes are by Mr. Relentless himself Tim S. Grover. Tim S. Grover is one of the NBA’s most respected trainers. Not only one of the world top trainers but also serves as the CEO of Attack Athletics. Additionally, he speaks around the world on fitness and motivational topics. Identified by his understanding of the mental and physical branch of knowledge to produce success for professional athletes, Tim’s curriculum vitae doesn’t stop there. Possessing a bachelor of a science degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in exercise science, UIC athletics found it suitable to crown him in to the UIC Hall of Fame while receiving the lifetime achievement award in 2009. Talk about being selective on who to get advice from. I believe he meets the requirements don’t you think? Yes that explains why this week’s quotes are from Mr. Good to Great to Unstoppable himself Tim S. Grover.

“Do. The. Work. Every day, you have to do something you don’t want to do. Every day. Challenge yourself to be uncomfortable, push past the apathy and laziness and fear. Otherwise, the next day you’re going to have two things you don’t want to do, then three and four and five, and pretty soon, you can’t even get back to the first thing. And then all you can do is beat yourself up for the mess you’ve created, and now you’ve got a mental barrier to go along with the physical barriers.”Tim S. Grover

I pick this quote simply because I’m a firm believer in the science of breaking out of your comfort zone. Nothing worth accomplishing gets done on autopilot. We mistakenly believe that our autopilot keeps us safe while traveling through our journey’s. There is a option to brake through these mental barriers holding us back from fulfilling our greatest potential. So let’s wake up to our choices and take manual control of our lives while striving forward on the journey to greatness.

“In order to have what you really want, you must first be who you really are.” Tim S. Grover

This quote stands out to me because I feel like one of the hardest things to do in 2017 is be yourself. Between our family, friends and society trying to tell us what’s permitted, appropriate, attractive or achievable it drowns out that small still voice of our inner world making it almost impossible to realize what we think or even want. When you’re alone with your thoughts you get an idea of what your thoughts actually are. If we live our lives constantly on other people’s expectations due to wanting to be like by these other people, we can easily run into a trap by setting up a life that you don’t really want, This is what took place in my life for the first 25 years and I strongly advise you to steer clear of that. It will literally save you years of repairing and cleaning up your life base on those decisions you made to please other people.

“Don’t tell me the glass is half-full or half-empty; you either have something in that glass or you don’t.”Tim S. Grover

This quote screams out gratitude to me. Most of us have life a lot better then we deserve and fail to see that every day. I’ll be the first to admit I need to learn how to be happy with what I have while I seek to attain all that I want. Let’s commit to practice being more thankful for what we have and you will see we’ll get bless with plenty more.

Well that pretty much wraps it up for this week’s quotes, I hope you took something away from this post that can possibly help you in some way, shape or form.
